EGO Power+ Snow Blower – My Current Loadout

After 10+ winters in Minnesota, this year I upgraded to an electric snowblower. I’ve owned 2 gas snowblowers before this, and last winter ours stopped working. I also had a bad gas spill filling up the snowblower when it was 0 degress outside, so this year I decided I had enough dealing with gas. My in-laws own this model and it has worked really for them so far. The worst thing about it is that the batteries are expensive. I haven’t tried any of the aftermarket ones, but I saw this as an investment in convience for a chore I really can’t stand. Note: I did try the power snow shovel, and it is way too heavy and way to cumbersome. I would not recommend that for anything.

This thing is awesome and works as well as my gas snowblower did. Fun Fact, it will fit fully assembled in the back of 4 door Jeep Wrangler.

In the snowblower I run two of these 7.5AH batteries. They take about 8 hours to charge on the slow charger. I'm able to do the whole driveway and still have about 25% left.

Slow Charger - but it works! An inexpensive way to enter the battery charging game.

One product I tried that I don’t recommend is the snow shovel:

Not Recommended - too heavy. Probably fine for small walkways or decks. Strap is additional SKU but it did not help that much.

I look forward to many years of use out of this thing. I’ll check in mid-winter each year to see how it holds up!
